Traditional Pain Relievers or Natural Remedies for Periods?

Sometimes it seems that nothing will help relieve a painful period. Endometriosis is the number one cause for painful periods. Endometriosis is a disease in which the tissue that lines the uterus, or the endometrium, is found outside of the uterus. Like the uterine walls in preparation for pregnancy, this tissue builds up every month, and then during a period, sheds and bleeds. However, there is no way for the body to rid itself of the blood that is outside of the uterus. This causes lesions to form, resulting in pain and inflammation and a large variety of other often quite serious ailments.

This disease is only officially diagnosed through surgery, and surgery is often the most effective treatment.

So, how can one rely only on natural pain relief when faced with surgery?

Honey

 Down and OUT

I really must apologise for my prolonged absence of late, I have been battling the most debilitating cold. And this isn’t your average, run-of-the-mill runny nose-sore throat wimpy cold, which is incidentally bad enough, but a horrible one with the accompanying headaches, sinusitis, body aches, toothaches and more symptoms than I care to remember.

It took away a week of my working life, something I cannot afford at all as a writer with deadlines, but it would’ve eaten up more time if I hadn’t used some granny recipes to stop in in its tracks

FireFox - Cut and Paste the Easy Way

Woman office pulling hair out

Getting Cut and Paste Back the Way You Want It

One thing I find annoying is when I right click to cut and paste and I get the reminder that my security setting prohibit cut and paste without control V or C. I finally got around to finding out how to fix it and doing something about it. It is not for the total novice but it is not terribly complicated either. If you have been wanting to use the cut and paste button in Firefox and other Mozilla browsers here is the way.

women headace faceFind Pain Relief Now: Headache Avoidance

This is Part III of my series on headaches. If you have tried heat and herbal therapy and still haven’t found relief from constant headache pain, the key for you may be avoidance. If you get headaches daily, you need not only to find pain relief in order to cope in your every day life, but also to find the cause of your headaches or migraines.

The best way to find out what is causing your symptoms is to record everything you eat.

This will take some trial and error.

If your symptoms persist, visit a nutritionist or your primary physician.

Herbal Remedies for Headaches

A new world opened up to me when I patronized an herb shop the first time. It was inside a lovely cottage near Dallas, Texas. I had come there as part of a girls-only, antique-shop hop. My friend was there for the candle-making supplies, but I was mesmerized by the clean, neat rows of pretty bottles of dried leaves, roots, and seeds.

On an eye-level shelf was a bottle labeled "PMS Tea." When I inquired about the tea and told the owner about my cramps, she put an emphatic hand on my arm as she said, "It really works."
