Attack of the Sudden Cramp Pain

Preventing the Sudden Muscle Spasm Pain

Cramps are muscle pains that are caused by a lack of potassium, heat, and a sudden increase in exercise. The last muscle cramp I experienced was during a high school swimming class. I was already engaging in a heavy weight training and aerobic exercise program and the extra laps of swimming pushed my muscles to the limit. I shouldn’t have been surprised that I was swimming my way to disaster, since I was swimming much slower than everyone else, despite being in great shape. The spasm hit suddenly and I had to struggle to remain afloat. Fortunately, there are ways to avoid muscle spasms like this one.

Herbal Remedies for Back Pain Relief

CayenneRelieving Back Pain Naturally

Back pain is a common problem today, whether it is from a pulled muscle, muscle spasm, pinched nerve, or slipped or herniated disc.  While many people opt to utilize over-the-counter pain relievers, such as Advil or Ibuprofen to relieve back pain, several herbs may be just as effective at relieving back pain naturally.  In fact, medical and herbal remedies for back pain aim to reduce pain and inflammation.

Getting a Good Night’s Rest with Teas, Oils, and Heating Pads

My wife is a frequent sufferer of insomnia, and she is often fatigued, moody, and complaining of aching muscles. After being awake all night, my girlfriend is often rummaging through her medicine cabinet for pain relief. Her insomnia is due to her inability to relax at night. However, there are heating pads that can help beat insomnia and bring a restful night’s sleep to those who suffer from insomnia.

Soothe Post-Surgery Pain Naturally

We do not need our wisdom teeth to function.  In fact, when one’s wisdom teeth come in, they tend to hurt.  Sometimes, our wisdom teeth even decay after they come in because they are hard to brush.  Thus, most dentists recommend having your wisdom teeth removed, especially if they are impacted.  While the level of pain one experiences after surgery varies from one individual to another, most people do feel some discomfort after having their wisdom teeth extracted, if only for a day or two after the procedure.

How to Get Glowing Skin

Effective Tips for Skincare

Walking down the skincare aisle at our local Walgreens, my wife was boggled by all the expensive face washes and creams, many of which that dry your skin out if you are looking for blemish relief or a pain relief cure for razor burn. However, not many people know that good skincare products are located right in their own kitchens and range from acne relief to cellulite removal.

Razor burn is an issue many of us suffer . There are a number of natural forms of pain relief for razor burn. Cold milk is useful when trying to calm freshly razed skin. Cold milk can be dabbed onto the skin using a cotton ball while you are still in the shower. Let the milk sit for three minutes, then rinse with cool water. If you may notice, the redness will disappear instantaneously. Of course, with rising dairy costs, milk may not be an option. Aloe Vera gel from the Aloe Vera plant also helps to calm freshly razed skin and moisturizes skin. If you are sunburned badly, Aloe Vera helps to heal skin.

A long time ago, when my wife’s grandmother was still alive, my wife learned that an egg yolk mask was great for conditioning skin and taking the redness out of blemishes. When used for twenty-five days, an egg yolk mask effectively helps to diminish acne breakouts just as well as Proactiv and Clean and Clear, but without the dry skin.

Another remedy that my girlfriend shared with me was that if you use a green tea teabag on skin blemishes, the redness and swelling is reduced considerably. Green tea bags are also great if you suffer from eye pain in the morning due to allergies. Just place the teabags over your eyes for ten minutes, and the puffiness and pain is alleviated.

Sugar and used coffee grounds are great for reducing cellulite. While taking a shower, take the sugar and coffee ground mixture and rub over cellulite prone areas gently. The antioxidants in the coffee grounds, along with the exfoliating ability of the sugar, help to generate blood and collagen flow to those areas, filling in dimples that cellulite causes. Sugar also works as an exfoliator, giving you smooth skin.

Skin care is related to your general health. The final step to clearing your skin and giving it that glow is to become informed about natural and safe health tips.
