Quick Weight Loss Tips - Blog Review

healthy weight loss

Weight Loss Diet Secrets

Quick Summary - To get my prejudice out front - I do not like Diet Blogs. Though heavily moniterized it is well done. The ads are in general well  done. I like the larger ads, they keep the blog from feeling cluttered.

A. Blog Content - It can be hard to tell the promotion material from the ads and advertorials. One problem with embeded content is well demostrated by the featured video on this site. When I attempted to view it, it was no longer available. (p.s. it has since been fixed )The book reviews should be made into true reveiws or dropped.  They definitely read as sales letters.

Health Lessons - Blog Review

Natural Health Blog ReviewBlog Review - A Clean Simple Blog

Quick Summary - Good Content a nice mix of news/information and personal observation/commentary. The blog is well laid out but would benefit from some eye candy.

A. Blog Content - Good Content. Well written. The posts are well balanced and generally well structured; short paragraphs, bullet points and the like.

Blog Review- Texas Medical Freak

blog reviewBlog Review Texas Medical Freak

New Blog  Review- Eczema

Quick Summary - Nice clean design, but very slow loading, good content and well written. Posts would be improved with a little more standard structure.

A. Blog Content - Good Content. Maybe abit technical on the medical side. But good links to follow up details.

Blog Review- Eczema Club

New Blog  Review- Eczema

Quick Summary - A pretty standard layout. Well targeted posts but not enough orginal content

A. Blog Content - Interesting and targeted content. Needs more orginal content, too much copied from other websitesE even when the source is credited; copying an entire post is not a good practice.

B. Blog Design  - Loads pretty slow, the stat package locked the site for over a minute. In my browser every page loads with the same google search and reader review about the fold and little else. I would move those to the side bar and change the template to provide room for more content above the fold. The Wood siding background picture and the header picture does not support the topic of the blog, maybe something that looks medical.

C. Technical Review

There are alot of navigation tools in the side bar but I do not think they are very effective. Tag clouds take up a lot of room for the help they provide, date based categories are best left to jounual type of blogs. I would recommend a category based navigation with a limited number of categories, combined with a short recent posts and related posts blocks, at most 10 listings each.

The google search at the top of each page is defaulting to search the web not your site. That will be taking people away from your site, get rid of it.

I would not advertise the fact that you have 9 RSS subscribers wait untill you 100 or so.
