Karishma Sundaram Biography

A strange amalgam of different influences - I suppose that would describe me the best

I was born to Indian parents in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and spent most of my formative years there. I then spent a couple of years in UK doing my A-levels. And then the next two years back in Dubai, working.

In 2003, my family moved back to India, and although my parents are in Bombay, I live in Pune. I have finished my graduation and post-graduation in IT from here. I decided to take up writing when I realised that the very thought of a lifetime doing software coding was absolutely terrifying.

Right now I am working as a producer for a media and content publishing company. But as of now, nothing is fixed, and I will see where my life takes me from here.

I am a published poet, living in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas in northern California. I have 5 step-children, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 chickens, and 1 husband.
