Hey this is great, thanks for the post! My stomach was torn up about a year ago, after a botched dental procedure that left me using Aleve every day for several weeks. I found the aloe vera juice was great at helping ease the pain in my stomach. I also found that Kefir yogurt and papaya juice worked wonders. Then there are the conventional foods that helped as well -- toast and mashed potatoes. My digestion is mostly fine these days. I do have the occasional flare-up, but it goes away after monitoring my diet and having these foods regularly.

Drinking gentian tea also helps you digest food when you drink it before meals. The Doctors Book of Herbal Home Remedies recommends drinking one cup of gentian tea approximately ten to fifteen minutes before you eat. You can make gentian tea by putting one teaspoon chopped gentian into a pan with one cup of water. Bring the water to a boil and let it simmer for ten minutes. Drain and drink.
