Gallblader, Bile, Liver

Hope For a Gallbladder Attack

The gallbladder is a fairly small pear shaped muscular sac, which is located under the right lobe of the liver. A gallbladder attack is not on painful but it can also be scary for some people. Gallbladder attacks are caused by a stone happily making it’s way down the bilary duct and then toward the small intestine. There are two other reasons for a gallbladder attack. One of them would be a backup of bile in the gallbladder, causing it to swell from fullness (thus creating discomfort), and the other would be an infected gallblader that has become inflammed. Symptoms of a gallbladder attack include chest pain on the right side, gas, nausea, vomitting, and burping. The attack of a gallblader can be so painful that it can make a person cry and scream. Luckily for some people who aren’t having too bad of a time with their gallbladder they can bring it relief. However, keep in mind that if a gallbladder attack is bad enough to the point where it is unbearable it is always wise to see a doctor.

The Healing Effect of Pears

Pears aren’t only healthy for you in general but are also good for gallbladder problems. Either the fruit itself or the juice can be taken often. The benefits of pears have a special healing effect.

Carrots, Cucumbers, and Beets

Carrots, cucumbers, and beets may sound pretty disgusting but to a gallbladder it doesn’t sound all that bad. Taking 100 ml each of fresh juices from beets, carrots, and cucumbers is a wonderful cleanser for the gallbladder.

A Little Anise Never Hurts

Anise seeds are wonderful for treatment against stones in the gallbladder since anise seeds help to remove stones.

Diet and Exercise

As with almost anything else diet and exercise is important when it comes to the gallbladder. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, cut out any greasy foods, and walk for at least 30 minutes 4 times a week.

After two pieces of pizza for dinner Sunday night, my husband awoke in horrid pain with his third major gallbladder attack. I’ll forward him these suggestions. Thanks a lot, JenniferL!
