Natural treatment for women with pelvic pain
From chronic pelvic pain (CPP) and vulvodynia to endometriosis, women suffering from these problems are confused and frustrated with the pain. A pain that can only be felt internally, but so severe that it affects their sense of well-being while they tend to become depressed, lose sleep, find eating disorders, isolate themselves from others and begin having problems with their sex life.
Chronic Pelvic Pain (CPP)
CPP is pain that is in the pelvic area and lower abdomen for at least six months. It can often travel into the lower back or legs. It has been known to come and go or be constant.
Vulvodynia
Vulvodynia is felt internally rather than externally. It is also called burning vulva syndrome due to the stinging , itching, irritating pain that occurs with pressure from sexual intercourse or tight clothing.

Generally, women with CPP have one or more of these symptoms:

- pain during periods (dysmenorrhea)
- extreme cramping
- periods that tend to be heavy
Pain
- backache that tends to come on before period, but goes away during
- itching or burning in the rectal area
- pelvic pain that is constant or intermittent
- pain that comes during intercourse (sometimes with bleeding afterwards)
- vaginsmus - hard time starting sex
- pain during urinating or bowel movement (sometimes blood in stool or urine)
Two kinds of pain
- Endometriosis - the most common - 71-83% women with CPP have endometriosis
- pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) - 30% of women with CPP have PID
Unfortunately, up to 61% of women with CPP are given no diagnosis due to the pain that is produced in several areas of the body like bladder, genital organs, pelvic, intestine, hip muscle, abdomen wall, leg and back pain.
Therapies
