red, blood cells

The Facts

Anemia is a conditioned that affects more people than one would think. When a person is considered to be anemic it is because they have abnormally low levels of red blood or hemoglobin. Anemia appears when heavy bleeding causes a great amount of iron loss or when something happens to slow down the production of red blood cells. Even if the average person has anemia they may or may not notice it. Not all symptoms are visible. All individuals are different. Some people have very, very small cases of anemia while some people have very bad cases of it. The signs and symptoms of anemia include fatigue, chest pain, trouble with breathing, heart murmur, yellow skin, rapid heart rate, pale skin, abdominal pain, weight loss, dizziness, weakness, etc. So, let’s see what we can do about helping out with those signs and symptoms of anemia!

Iron, Iron, Iron!

The best thing that anyone can do is raise their iron intake if they are anemic. You can do this by eating apples (the pealing along with it), green leafy vegetables, liver, lean beaf, almonds, soya beans, sesame seeds, rosemary, thyme, paprika, bran wheat, wheatgerm, cinnamon, etc. An iron supplement can be taken also, but it is highly advised that if you are being seen by a doctor to discuss this with your doctor or with your favorite pharmacist. Never over do the amount of iron that your doctor recommends taking.

Again With the Exercising…!

Yes, exercise seems to always be brought up when it comes to health conditions, but it really does work. Exercising, even if it is just walking (which is the best exercise that any person can do), will help to raise blood levels. Sometimes yoga can be beneficial to raising the blood levels as well.

Vitamin Bs

Vitamin Bs are essential when it comes to giving the body a boost in energy. The best kind of vitamin B supplement to take is a a vitamin B complex pill. If a vitamin B complex pill is unable to be found then taking a simple vitamin B12 and B6 pill will work just fine.
