Acupressure for Sinus Pain Relief

Perfect for Relieving Sinus Pressure

Ragweed, pollen, dust, animal dander, mold, and cottonwood; this time of year is Hell for millions of allergy sufferers, and with all of the aforementioned troublesome allergens floating in the air, comes the unwanted pain and distress of sinus pain. With sinus pain, eye pain, headaches, neck pain, and back pain may occur because of the fatigue sinus pain causes. However, a person can gain sinus pressure relief without the use of medicines or doctor visits. By using acupressure, anyone can gain relief quickly from sinus pain. My wife and her mother just recently discovered acupressure for sinus pain relief, and although they forget to use it sometimes, they can attest to acupressure’s benefits.

Acupressure for sinus pain relief is simple and only requires two simple steps. First, take the tip of your tongue and press it firmly on your hard palette (the place directly behind your top teeth) for ten seconds then, afterwards, take your index fingers and find the hollow space near your eyebrows and near the bridge of your nose. This is where you will lightly, yet firmly, place your thumb and index finger and gently rub for ten seconds. After you do this, continue steps one and two until you have reached your desired level of relief.

Now, if you would like to increase the level of relief, combining aromatherapy with this acupressure technique increases the acupressure effects. Eucalyptus essential oils are great to use when trying to relieve sinus pressure. Use eucalyptus oil on your pressure points behind your ears, wrists, and temples, and breathe deeply as you are performing this acupressure technique for sinus pain relief. You can use one of the many essential oils found in aromatherapy products. Remember, for sinus pain relief, all it takes is two easy steps as indicated above.

You might also have clogged glands in your eyes if you are suffering from sinuses. You might want to try sinus eye pads.
