Health Lessons - Blog Review

Natural Health Blog ReviewBlog Review - A Clean Simple Blog

Quick Summary - Good Content a nice mix of news/information and personal observation/commentary. The blog is well laid out but would benefit from some eye candy.

A. Blog Content - Good Content. Well written. The posts are well balanced and generally well structured; short paragraphs, bullet points and the like.
Most of the posts are a little at odds with the title of the blog. They are well focused on health but I would expect some how to / list types of posts due to the "Lessons" part of the title.

The Author needs to be careful about embedding outside served content.  One post consisted of a poll that did not go anywhere.

B. Blog Design  - Very plain but well laid out.  Looks like a default template. Could use some more color as accents and photos in the posts.  Updating this would be one of my priorities.

C. Technical Review -   I like the subscribe box with rotating post titles. The navigation should be shifted from date archives to categories if possible.  There also does not seem to be a Home link. I would drop the Utube widget, no way to tell what the videos are about;  why would the author encourage someone to load some random video and  leave their content.  I also think those chat boxes are overrated unless you have alot of traffic. As the blog grows and if Monetization becomes an issue the sidebar real estate needs to be put to highest and best use.

I have never seen a blog reviewing other blogs, what a great idea. I wish you much success!
I am looking for ways to relieve the pain in my neck caused by arthritis. I found this blog about a neck traction device: http://necktracktion.wordpress.com Would you happen to know if that sort of device is any good? Please remove the link if it is against your blog policy. I would be grateful for some advice.

Hi Lari, Blog reviews are not the main purpose of this blog. But we belong to several health related blogging groups and this is one of the ways we give back to the community.

I am sorry but the link did not resolve to a live website. Recommended traction depends on the type of traction you are interested in. For light Neck traction we recommend http://www.ultimatewatermassage.com/traction-tools-db-neck-old.htm
