Dreams are mirrors of ourselves. True there are many types of dreams. Some can be prophetic, etc. When I try to figure out dreams I look at the pieces first and then I look at emotions. Then I can piece it all together into a meaning. When I look at the pieces I question or analyze it to break it down to meaning. So an alien is something that people don't understand. It's something 'out of this world.' A question to ask is… are you afraid of it? If you are then you are afraid of the unknown. If you are curious you are trying to understand it. How do you react to it in the dream? What are your beliefs about aliens

In general I would say an alien in a dream is something generated by tv in the fact that it's something our minds can understand. Our unconscious speaks to us in symbols so it is easier for our conscious mind to handle. It's a gentle way of explaining things, by using something we understand from our waking lives. If we ignore our dreams and their meaning and we still don't get the problem in real life then our dreams will start looping or repeating over and over. If we still don't pay attention or understand it then it becomes nightmares.
As for creating my own website, I've never really thought of that. I was thinking of writing a book one day though.

I had a dream that I wanted to go in a particular direction but there were roots in the path and they were red in color and soft like nerves and they were preventing me to go in that direction.. Does it mean something?

Roots are the bottom of things. It's the part of you that gives you the 'nutrients' you need. Because we are talking of roots or veins I'm going to assume that the red roots take to mean life blood. What this dream is basically telling you is not to 'bite the hand that feeds you.' That the direction you were thinking of going would cause great upheaval and you would have to start fresh again. Ask yourself what was happening in your life at the time and what was the direction you were thinking to take. These things will help you to start recognizing patterns in your life. With recognizing patterns you will be able to break cycles we tend to get ourselves into.
Another thing to ask is what did the path beyond look like/feel like. This will help by telling you what that direction would have been for you.
