Well dry needling to say the least is very much relevant to acupuncture but there are certain differences between them. People who have a god knowledge of acupuncture will know that the basic difference between them is that of the theory on which they are based. This is also very much related with Analgesia and it is said that

Moreover this approach is more based on western anatomical and neuro-physiological principles while the acupuncture is based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
