I thought I would bring this discussions here, as it seems like a good subject to start off the natural pain stuff that I've found out

As you will know, if you've read the “hello” section, my son had a nasty accident and fractured his skull, he is fine now, and will make a full recovery.

But in the time while he was getting over it all, pain relief was a bit problem, because he's got bad concussion, the medics didn't want to give any strong pain relief as it could mask the symptoms of his concussion, if he took a turn for the worse.

I know that lavander is really good for most things, so I did a little research and found a natural pain reliever with lavander in it.

It's the sort that you “roll on” across the forehead and neck. It smells really good, and had some good effect for the pain.

I will find out what the actual ingredients were, I know there was lavander and I think chamomile and peppermint, but like I said I will check, and let you all know

Thanks for your convert by the way, espacially chappers :)

That must have been horrible, head injuries can go rither way can't they. I use lavendar for tension headaches, and my gran grows loads of it in her garden.

She tells me there are lots of different species of lavendar, so it would be interesting to find out if any one is better for “medicinal use” does anyone on here know the answer to that? Once you get over the “old ladies smell of lavendar” mind set (or is it only me that used to think this?) it's a brilliant plant herb? flower? don't know what category it falls in.

I guess I could always google it, but it would be nice to get a discussion going on these boards don't you think?
