Life is full of stress. Daily injuries pile on top of already worried minds. Many of us spend hours sitting in office chairs at workstations, looking at computer screens. We work the mouse and keyboard using repetitive motions. We walk in uncomfortable shoes, carry laptops or heavy bags slung over our shoulders, deal with road rage from long commutes or find ourselves stuck in traffic, then we return home to the stressors of modern family life. Even getting out of the car the wrong way can wrench a back. The accumulation of stress puts us on high alert: Heart rate increases, digestion lags, restlessness and exhaustion set in. We fall under the influence of our sympathetic nervous systems, creating the “fight or flight” response, also known as the acute stress response.

CAN MASSAGE BENEFIT ME?
Massage provides relief to people from all walks of life-the weekend or competitive athlete, the home gardener, the overstressed executive struggling to keep pace in today's economy. Secretaries, laborers, waitresses-anyone can feel a need for massage at some point in time. The older population can also benefit from massage, as it enhances flexibility and circulation. The bedridden can also be helped in this regard.
Care of your body should be at the top of your priority list. You will feel and look better if you take the necessary steps regarding health and nutrition in this age of increased longevity. Stress relief alone can improve your vitality and state of mind. Massage and bodywork can play an important role in your life.
