Arthritis Pain Relief - Your Diet and More
I am new to this site and I was reading the new posts on the forum. Most of them were questions about arthritis. So I thought instead answering each one I would address them with this post.
Acidic Diets
Let’s talk about the word. Any word with ..itis at the end of it means inflammation of something. In this case it means inflammation of the joints. Inflammation is caused by the body being too acidic. What causes this condition?Many things people don’t want to hear and don’t want to give up. Stress is a big one, followed by sugar, coffee, processed foods(AKA fast food). When I tell someone this their eyes glaze over and think I have just spoke in foreign tongues. I understand this is a lot to digest without washing it down with a Pepsi. Let us think about it for a moment. What is more important, eating garbage on a regular basis or being able to move without the pain.
Steps to Arthritis Pain Relief
There are many topical things you can use to help relieve the pain such as therapeutic grade essential oils, which I use a lot with my clients. The bottom line is you need to treat the problem from the inside out. With good nutrition and good quality supplements. ( I will address good quality supplements in my next post). Please keep in mind this is not a overnight fix. Depending on how long you have had your condition it can take several months to have complete relief. There are some tried and true remedies. Raw apple cider vinegar is a good start. 1 tablespoon 3 times a day in water to dilute down if need be. Drink filtered water with organic lemon. NOT TAP!!!!!!! (also another story) Slowly wean yourself off the soda, stop your sugar intake and start replacing your food with fresh fruits, veggies and good protein of your choosing. That could be fish, chicken, pork, or red meat. But limit your red meat to grass fed beef. It has 3 times the essential fatty acids compared to fish. I recommend eating organic. The reason is obvious and the prices are only a few cents difference.
Next would be a liver and intestinal cleanse. You need to remove all the years of junk built up in your body . Last would be a good probiotic. Kefir would be a good place to start. One that is organic and no added sugar. Sugar defeats your purpose.
I know this is a little vague and I will keep adding more in weeks to come.
